The National Sales organization, within Investment Solutions, supports the Firm’s Financial Advisors by managing the field sales support of non-banking products and the business development functions for our branch network.
The Morgan Stanley Sales Desk Analyst role is a unique opportunity to prepare and develop the skillset for a career in the Wealth Management division of the financial services industry. Team members will specialize in Consulting Group and will have the following responsibilities:
- ·Provide advice and support to Financial Advisors across various investment solutions inclusive of Firm Discretionary or Third-Party Portfolio Solutions, Separately Managed Accounts, Direct Indexing, Mutual Funds, Money Markets
- ·Conduct productive outbound calls focused on identifying client opportunities and suggesting investment solutions to address a potential client need
- ·Support field organization by effectively and efficiently answering inbound calls
- Learn and implement our CRM solution to highlight engagement and commercial success
- Support requests for specialized reporting, related client and prospect situations, and various research related needs, with the goal of delivering requested prospect and client support elements
- Proficiency in tools and topics needed to conduct daily business in Consulting Group, as well as the ability to train incoming team members
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- FINRA licenses Series 7 and Series 66 (or 63/65) required or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree, 1+ years of financial services experience or related industry preferred
- Possess exemplary communication, presentation, and time-management skills
- Stay organized, focused, and highly disciplined. Be able to keep track of simultaneous competing needs of their assigned Financial Advisors and execute on all necessary actions in a timely manner
- Seek constructive feedback and coaching from both their Sales Desk Managers and Financial Advisors, actively using it to improve how they approach future tasks
- Proactively analyze client relationships and make recommendations to team members and financial advisors on how to supplement the client experience
- Establish, maintain and support strong working relationships with Financial Advisors and Product Team members. Demonstrate accountability and a strong work ethic to promote confidence and trust in their work
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $57,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
