The Account Executive works with research analysts, traders and syndicate professionals to increase revenue and market share at important institutional accounts (investment management firms and mutual funds) nationwide. May initially work with more seasoned salespeople across the FI platform to gain a deeper understanding of how business is generated.
- Develops and maintain investor customer relationships
- Ability to cultivate new investors and maintain existing investors through rigorous calling activity resulting in strong professional and personal relationships
- Develops extensive knowledge about their investor base; Keeps abreast of emerging customer trends; Gathers information to understand customer strategies and their view of market opportunities
- Has acute awareness of client trends as well as trends of client’s competitors
- Develops marketing plan for area of responsibility
- Sets and achieve aggressive sales goals
- Accountable for individual production goals
- Develops strong and effective working relationships with Traders and Sales Assistants; Draws on the full resources of the company to provide high quality solutions and service to customers
- Serves as the key leader for client quality and service; Acts decisively to implement solutions and resolve crisis, and follows up to assure resolution
- Communicates timely and relevant data to the client in order to improve their profitability
- Advises clients on investment opportunities and recommends buying and selling of securities
- Provides high quality solutions and service to customers; Identifies ways that our product, sales and service organizations work together to deliver value; Searches actively for efficiencies in the way our organization serves customers
- Be aware of any issues or constraints felt by the client and provide a timely, credible solution
- Determines ways in which we can improve the firm’s service to the client and develop a systematic approach to process improvement
- Adheres to established compliance policies
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7 or more years relevant experience
- Series 7 and 63 license
- Experience developing a business plan
- Works well in team environment
- Ability to travel on occasion
- Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
