What we're looking for:
Nexamp is seeking to hire an Inside Sales Associate. You will be responsible for responding to inbound call center leads in order to enroll new customers in Nexamp’s Community Solar program. This work includes handling phone calls, chats, and e-mails from prospective customers to answer questions, capitalize on customer interest, and maintain excellent product knowledge to engage and ultimately close customers for Nexamp’s Community Solar program.
We are accepting candidates across our hub offices of Chicago, IL or Boston, MA where you will be hybrid. You will report to the Inside Sales Supervisor.
What you'll do:
- Respond to a high volume of initial inbound calls, chats, and e-mails of prospective clients and ensure a timely resolution
- Create inbound customer leads in our CRM and nurture these leads to close
- Conduct energy use/cost analyses to ensure Community Solar subscribers are receiving benefits tailored to their needs
- Process customers that have signed contracts through our online registration process by ensuring customer eligibility and finalizing enrollment
- Follow up on digitally generated leads via phone and email at various points in the sales funnel and nurture these leads to close
What you'll bring:
- Associate's degree or equivalent working experience
- 1 year of previous professional work experience is preferred
- Prior experience specifically in the energy sector, education, or sales is a plus
- Spanish language fluency is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM platform
- Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
- Exhibit excellent oral communication skills and professionalism in providing best in class customer service.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
- Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
- Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
- Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
