- 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
- 10+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience

Are you an independent, innovative federal financials leader who is focused on driving executive engagements with senior government leaders, industry partners / SIs, and think tanks within the US Federal financials ecosystem? This role requires a team player who can focus on building and maintaining strong executive-level relationships with federal government stakeholders, who are eager to enhance their digital transformation strategy and improve mission capabilities through the use of AWS. The ideal candidate will have a strong network, superior written and oral communication skills, and a proven track record in federal financial agencies.
As a senior business development leader, you will have the exciting opportunity to drive the growth and shape the future of cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI, and other emerging technologies in one of our most critical segments. Your responsibilities will include building executive relationships, AWS brand awareness, and pipeline through senior business and IT leaders across Federal Financial Agencies. In this role, you will also work closely with AWS’s internal teams, including marketing, compliance, public policy, and public relations, to align business development strategies with business goals.
As a senior business development leader, you will promote AWS as a champion and leader within the Federal Financials market, and create thought leadership opportunities for AWS executives. You will identify and work to remove blockers to new business; develop business winning strategies and proactive messaging to promote our customers' successes in the cloud environments; and help establish AWS as the leader in cloud computing and generative AI technologies for the Federal government.
You will proactively drive strategic business engagement through your extensive network and deep understanding of the Federal Financials market. This includes determining the most effective go-to-market strategies, growing business development pipelines, and supporting business leaders and their respective teams to earn trust with Federal and industry executives.
You will also work closely with AWS executives and the public policy team to facilitate high-level meetings between AWS executives and key customer stakeholders, to promote and advocate for AWS interests.
