The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Sales Support Technical Engineer to play an instrumental role in supporting our sales and customer success teams.
- Provide technical support on sales demos to prospects for our Market Surveillance product, HALO
- Understand the underlying market manipulation algorithms provided by Solidus Labs and provide technical explanations to prospective clients and internal stakeholders
- Analyze order and execution data to understand its validity and completeness
- Prepare sandbox environments for prospects by injecting data and executing proprietary algorithms
- Assist internal teams and clients with algorithm parameter tuning to optimize alerting output
- Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell
- Query, format, and analyze large amounts of data from various sources inside and outside the organization. Provide an analytical summary to internal and external stakeholders.
- Execute short tasks and longer-term projects across multiple global teams. Communicate status to stakeholders in a timely manner
- Proactively engage with product and technology teams to understand the new features and provide demos to clients and prospects
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Expertise in Linux environment with good command over any scripting language such as Shell, Perl, Python, etc.
- Application/Production Support Experience at a Wall Street firm
- Hands-on experience in support of a real-time trading environment
- Strong knowledge of FIX protocol
- Strong Knowledge of order flow into and out of equity systems Knowledge of Structured Products, SWAP, and Derivative business
- Knowledge of Kafka, Snowflake/Clickhouse, or similar databases
- Understanding of client and exchange connectivity support
- Understanding of Equities products and program trading businesses from a technology standpoint
- Strong analytical, and verbal and written communication skills
- Java, C#, C++ ,.net development skills set, nice plus
- Ability to work both independently and in groups in energetic, diverse, and global teams
- Good communication skills, including the ability to write clearly
- Ability to handle complex operational tasks, recommend process and technology changes
- Proactive with respect to personal and technical development
