We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager with a strong background in renewable energy (co-gen , power generation) to drive strategic initiatives and foster growth within our organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in navigating the transition from traditional energy systems to sustainable alternatives, focusing primarily on the Renewable Energy Market.
Responsibilities:- Initiate and Lead Business Development: Develop and execute business development strategies for the renewable market, identifying and pursuing industry clients and partners aligned with organizational objectives.
- Market Insights: Leverage renewable energy expertise to identify short and long-term market trends, technology advancements, and industry initiatives. Contribute to client development, capture planning, and marketing strategy enhancement.
- Support Development Teams: Provide developmental support to directors and project management teams. Assist in client capture planning, mapping, and execution strategies to expand market share.
- Strategic Actions: Perform actions in alignment with our Revenue Growth Program, identifying opportunities and forecasting business projections.
- Market Intelligence: Identify business development opportunities by understanding client requirements, analyzing market dynamics, and assessing competitor strengths and weaknesses.
- Market Conditions: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of current market conditions, future trends, EPC contractors, regulations, developers, and other key stakeholders.
- Strategic Planning: Utilize sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, services, or lines.
- Promotional Activities: Coordinate and participate in promotional activities, trade shows, and collaborate with stakeholders for effective product and service marketing.
- Advisor Role: Advise business groups on factors affecting the buying and selling of services at local, national, and international levels.
Qualifications:- Experience: 7 - 10+ years in engineering, business development, and capture management, with a focus on renewable energy markets.
- Track Record: Proven success in developing new business, forming successful partnerships, and implementing effective client management strategies - 15 to 20 MM Minimum annual sales
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel nationally as needed.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in Co-gen, Power Generation, BESS PV/Solar, Wind, LNG/RNG, Energy Efficiency CHP/CEP
- Market Experience: Familiarity with Utilities, Municipalities, Industrials, and Developers in relation to Power (co-gen a plus)
