About the Opportunity
We are seeking a customer-focused, enthusiastic Post-Sales Field Application Scientist to play a crucial role in our scaling efforts. As a key member of our team, you will act as a technical and scientific expert, working closely with customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure successful product implementation, optimization, and expansion. You will engage with researchers, data scientists, and clinicians to deliver tailored training, assist with product integrations, and provide technical support, all while focusing on customer satisfaction and product adoption and expansion.
Environment
As a Post-Sales Field Application Scientist, you will work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Scientific Solutions, and Support as well as our customers and partners to drive product adoption and customer satisfaction. This role will include up to 20% travel, including overnight trips to customer sites and conferences.

Responsibilities
- Work with customers and internal teams to ensure the successful implementation, usage, optimization and adoption of Flywheel products.
- Develop and deliver on-site and remote training (including workshops and learning labs) to customers tailored to their needs and product requirements.
- Design solutions that integrate with existing data ecosystems and assist customers with imaging data migrations and workflow optimization.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams and ensure timely follow-up with customers.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify new opportunities for account expansion as well as support renewals/ upsells.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams, relaying feedback to inform product development.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, issues, and resolutions.
- Generate reports summarizing customer feedback, support activities, and application insights.
- Comply with company policies, including security, confidentiality, and data protection requirements, to maintain a secure work environment.
What would make you a great fit
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as biomedical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, particularly in Life Sciences; advanced degree (MS or PhD) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, with proven success in post-sales support and customer engagement.
- Deep understanding of medical imaging and data workflows and standards, such as MRI, CT, or other medical imaging modalities.
- Experience with data management platforms, cloud-based solutions, and/or software for large-scale data analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate and influence across teams to resolve customer challenges.
- Familiarity with tools and languages such as Python, MATLAB, SQL, or other data scripting languages is a strong plus.
- Experience working in a regulated industry a plus.
