SUMMARY
We are a seeking a Director, Business Development responsible for managing and driving the sale of traditional ticket sales verticals, including season tickets, partial plans, and sales enablement while developing and growing the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty Membership Sales teams. The Director will be responsible for the strategy and oversight of the Inside Sales program.
The Director, Business Development will report to the Vice President, Ticket Sales & Services.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead the day-to-day oversight of the Manager, Membership Sales, the Managers of Inside Sales, and the Membership Sales team.
- Grow, sustain, and oversee a world class Inside Sales program.
- Research, develop, and implement sales and service best practices for all sales team members to follow, including establishing measurement tools for representatives to accurately record opportunity touchpoints including but not limited to outbound calls, in-person meetings, individual prospecting.
- Lead the strategy and execution of all new sales ticketing verticals, Fulls, Halves, and Mini Plans.
- Alongside the Inside Sales Managers, continue to conceptualize a best-in-class Pre-Onboarding and Onboarding strategy to set incoming team members up for success.
- Review and maintain accurate documentation of outreach and sales activity in CRM system.
- Monitor team members daily, weekly, and monthly activities and revenue.
- Conduct regularly scheduled trainings for the Membership Sales team.
- Collaborate with fellow Ticket Sales leadership to achieve team-wide excellence.
- Assist in the development of sales and marketing strategies for ticket packages, sales contests, and campaigns.
- Work Brooklyn Nets home games, select New York Liberty games, and other internal / external events as assigned.
- Provide the highest level of customer service to all fans.
- Lead team to achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals established by leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least 5 years of sport sales experience and at least 2 years of leadership experience within a high-performing sales team.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
- Ticketmaster and Salesforce experience a plus.
- Ability to work irregular and long work hours; this role will be expected to attend all Nets home games, select Liberty games, and additional events as required.

SALARY RANGE
$99,000 - $139,000
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works primarily in an office environment but is expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
