Location: This role is hybrid, averaging 2-3 days per week in a Fluence hub in either Houston, TX / Alpharetta, GA / Arlington, VA / Mountain View, CA.
This role, as part of the Service Sales Engineering, Americas team, will support Fluence Sales throughout North and South America.
The Service Sales Engineer at Fluence will:
- Develop a deep understanding for the Fluence energy storage technology platforms and provide sales teams with technical support to drive successful new service sales, as well as aftermarket sales
- Review, understand and negotiate detailed technical specifications for new and existing energy storage service agreements and aftermarket orders
- Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for new service sales, including after-market upgrades and modifications
- Support Augmentation Projects in delivery with updated cost estimation and latest design considerations
- Collaborate with customers, engineering, and service teams, to delivered tailored solutions
- Work together with engineering teams to test and validate new features or product upgrades
- Support service contract negotiations as needed – scope, schedule, and performance guarantees
What will the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Preferred)
- 5+ years’ work experience in energy storage, solar, or other power generation
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate results
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with contract negotiations and familiarity with key contract areas
- Knowledge of applicable standards, codes and regulations
- Entrepreneurial drive and ability to prioritize and execute on many tasks in parallel
- Willing and able to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the time.
