- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member in our AWS Sales Finance team, supporting the Energy & Utilities industry. The Energy & Utilities sales team supports customers across the entire energy and utilities value chain to produce more energy, distribute it in a reliable and secure manner, reduce cost and risk, and decarbonize.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon. As a Finance Manager, you will work closely with Energy & Utilities sales leaders to develop financial models and analytical insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into operational measurements, and identifying paths to improve the overall planning and forecasting process. You will also provide strategy support to the business partners.
The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting strategic decision-making in a rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, a strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, this role requires strong business sense and capability to independently drive business partnership.
