This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Sales Manager sits within the Southwest Region and is responsible for driving overall region builder channel sales strategy and leadership. This dynamic role provides a unique opportunity for customer management, with significant strategic impact and growth projections. Our new Sales Manager will oversee sales of all Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid and Amana appliances. They will also have end to end P&L ownership and lead the joint business development strategy. This role will be based anywhere geographically within the region.
Your responsibilities will include
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with the buying team as well as store managers and sales associates at trade customers
- Develop pricing, programming, marketing plans and sales execution strategies
- Deliver revenue, margin, share goals and deliver accurate volume forecasts
- Manage allowances and local merchandising funds to maximize return on investment
- Share best practices and lead special projects as needed within the region and channel team
Minimum requirements
- Bachelors’ degree
- 3+ years strategic selling and negotiating in the home appliance marketplace
Preferred skills and experiences
- Strong presentation and product training skills
- Analytical mindset
- Exceptional communication skills and detailed follow up
- Strong financial acumen including P&L understanding
- Strong knowledge of Whirlpool operations and support functions process
- Experience as a sales market manager
- Experience coaching others and and exhibiting leadership in a matrix environment
