The Sales Team at When I Work is a group of results-driven, consultative minded professionals who enjoy understanding a customer's business and how the When I Work product can help them work better together as a team. When you join this team, you join a group of high performing individuals that are always looking for creative ways to convey the value of our product in order to ensure positive outcomes for our customers. As a Product Sales Specialist, you will work directly with our Small Business buyers to enhance their overall user experience and expedite their understanding of When I Work’s apps.
What You’ll Do
You are responsible for managing the first prospect conversation via email, chat, phone call, and/or webinar. You will engage new account sign-ups via inbound connections and provide helpful advice for their business needs by providing product guidance, asking for their business or qualifying leads before scheduling meetings for Account Executives.
- Work with When I Work’s inbound prospects during their trial period
- Provide guidance and best practices on the set-up, implementation and purchase of When I Work’s applications via in-app chat, video presentations, phone, and email
- Conduct one-to-many training and best practice webinars to help customers find value and get set up for success
- Identify opportunities for larger or more complex sales and engage Account Executive team for a more comprehensive product demonstration
- Participate in ongoing training to improve product knowledge and sales skill set
- Continuously identify improvements, communicate recommendations and best practices for company and sales processes

Experience and Skills Needed
- Entry level experience in sales, lead generation, or outbound calling, or experience working for or managing a small business
- Technology savvy and ability to quickly learn new things
- Passion for sales, and business consulting in a customer-centric environment
- Experience in a performance-based environment or culture
- Strong computer skills, system aptitude, and the ability to develop processes and procedures
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, with attention to detail, and a proactive approach
- Team player with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues and business partners across the company
- Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training required
What Would Be Awesome To Have
- Understanding of workforce management solutions and/or human resource management software
- Business development experience
- Previous hourly work experience for a small business
- Knowledge in technology sales, SaaS implementation, mobile apps or cloud software
