Technical Architect, Salesforce Demos
Office hybrid in Chicago, IL or Denver, CO or Atlanta, GA or Indianapolis, IN
The Technical Architect will oversee and continuously improve demo environments that serve as critical tools for Solution Engineers across Salesforce’s product suite. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, this role is essential for designing, developing, and standardizing demonstration set ups to highlight the comprehensive range of our products and solutions. We are looking for a candidate with a strong implementation background, particularly someone experienced in Salesforce deployments who can scale solutions effectively. This role requires expertise in Salesforce APIs, including the Metadata API and Salesforce DX, to streamline environment configuration and maintenance.
Job Goals
Develop extraordinary demo environments and tools that enable Solution Engineers to showcase the full breadth of Salesforce products.
Provide thought leadership on demo environment development, configuration, and execution.
Increase SE success by improving demo quality, adaptability, and performance.
Enhance SE productivity by reducing setup time for demos and providing pre-configured, high-quality environments.
Design and implement scalable demo scenarios that emphasize Salesforce’s differentiators and best practices.
Track, research, and resolve challenges that impact SE demo success.
Job Duties
Identify and prioritize improvements across all Salesforce demo environments, implementing updates with each release.
Fulfill Solution Engineer requests for demo enhancements across multiple Salesforce products.
Document and track all changes, handle release notes, and maintain transparency on progress.
Define automation opportunities and develop requirements for new tools and capabilities.
Anticipate new product features and ensure they’re enabled and configured in demo environments to support SE success.
Implement naming conventions, development standards, and maintaining environment quality and consistency.
Develop solutions using Salesforce APIs to automate and handle configuration changes.
Candidates Must Have
Experience running demos with a focus on scalable, reusable configurations.
Strong background in implementing Salesforce solutions, following standard processes for development, DevOps, and scaling implementations.
Familiarity with Salesforce APIs (including the Metadata API) and SFDX for efficient environment management and automation.
Functional expertise in Salesforce products, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Platform, as well as emerging products and features.
Technical capability in system integrations, data migration, and implementation challenges.
Development experience with Apex and the Lightning Component Framework.
Proficiency with Salesforce DX, GitHub, and other DevOps tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and take ownership of projects.
A related technical degree required.

For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $138,000 to $189,800.For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $151,800 to $208,800.Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
