Responsibilities Functional Description: PepsiCo’s marketing & sales internship is a chance to spend a summer tackling business challenge alongside experienced marketers and sales leaders in one of our two U.S. headquarter locations: New York, NY (Pepsi Beverages); and Plano, TX (Frito-Lay). We rely on interns for fresh perspective, and in turn we let them showcase their ability to provide a meaningful, comprehensive business recommendation. As interns fact-find and problem-solve to reach a recommendation, they enjoy great autonomy as well as full support, guidance, and feedback from their managers, cross-functional partners, and the broad marketing organization. Interns have the chance to learn the business, build a network, and, potentially, earn a full-time opportunity upon graduation. What you can expect: An eCommerce intern at PepsiCo will provide analytical support to senior managers in the development of various sales-driving initiatives and assist PepsiCo in achieving their short and long-term business strategy. The position requires significant interaction with various functions on the eCommerce team including sales, marketing, finance, strategy and supply chain to help bring the project to life. This position requires a highly quantitative skill set and comfort with analyzing data to develop detailed and thought-provoking strategic analyses and recommendations. To accomplish this, sales interns will be required to use several databases and scanner data systems, and marketing interns will use insights and retail media data to build their strategies and recommendations Summer assignments may include: Developing overall strategy for a brand, including commercialization in-store and online ideas to meet long-term business goals (total sales, distribution, household penetration, profits) Leveraging consumer insights to understand problems to solve and to be the voice in product, packaging, and/or communication development Building new product innovation concepts and developing new product launch strategies Developing impactful consumer promotions, events, and marketing programs Leveraging insights to design social and digital campaigns, along with creative measurement tactics Partnering with brand organizations in the creation of brand positioning and communication strategies Using data to understand category and competitive dynamics to guide strategy and recommendations for future business opportunities The Summer Experience: We believe internships are critical to nurturing top talent for our future, so we make them meaningful. Compensation & Benefits: The expected compensation hourly pay ranges for hires into our 2025 campus intern openings is $55.50 – $56/hour. Role, degree discipline, degree level, and location are part of the process when determining actual starting salary for positions. Hourly pay for our campus hires is pre-determined and non-negotiable. We love to convert our interns to full time opportunities!
