The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced senior finance leader to join its Partner Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of one of the most dynamic and fastest growing organizations at Amazon. The role will lead a team of seven Finance Mangers and Senior Financial analysts, providing executive business partnership and financial thought-leadership to the AWS Partner Organization’s (APO) Core Programs and Deal Desk functions. The candidate will oversee a multi-billion dollar annual programmatic budget, and be responsible for driving strong controllership while identifying insights and efficiencies to maximize APO’s return on investment. Key priorities include building reporting mechanisms monitor business health, establishing new/enhanced governance motions for multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreements (SCAs) with partners, driving forecasting & planning rhythms, and evaluating the financial viability of new programmatic motions. Successful candidates will be proven people leaders, have a high degree of intellectual curiosity, a passion for uncovering insights to drive business outcomes at scale, the ability to influence senior stakeholders via strong written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to prioritize effectively while dealing with ambiguity.
Key job responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
• Partner with VP of Partner Core and provide day-to-day tactical leadership and support the career development of a team of seven Finance Managers and Senior Financial Analysts
• Foster a culture of curiosity and insight origination within your team, upholding the broader APO Finance team culture
• Think Big with business stakeholders to define, optimize and execute the organization’s strategy for engaging with strategic partners through publicly-facing programs and multi-year collaboration agreements
• Drive the creation and automation of detailed reporting to monitor the business and financial health of Core Programs and the broader SCA portfolio
• Work closely with business stakeholders to structure programmatic motions to meet long-term objectives while achieving acceptable levels of risk and financial return
• Oversee planning and forecasting for Core Program & SCA expenses and influence business stakeholders to ensure plans are aligned with broader organizational objectives
• Develop and implement governance mechanisms to protect AWS investments
• Execute ad-hoc analyses to help business leaders solve complex problems and understand financial implications
