Wealth Strategist Sales Associate
Assist Wealth Strategists with all aspects of the sales process relating to identification of potential prospects and generating new trust and investment business.
Primary duties support LA market sales management and new business results by delivering data and process management, new client onboarding, marketing and lead generation support, and administrative execution for local sales practice partners. Key responsibilities will include delivering daily administrative support to Wealth Strategists, maintaining lead and prospect data in systems, preparing materials for client meetings and new business presentations, executing the new client onboarding process end-to-end, researching and uncovering new potential leads for Wealth Strategists, preparing new business and account opening documentation, and ensuring that the administration and execution of the sales process is proactive and timely.
Obtain strong understanding and knowledge on investment management, fiduciary and financial planning matters.
Major Duties
Provide daily administrative support to Wealth Strategists, including scheduling meetings, assembling meeting materials, expense management, and providing phone and mail coverage. answering phone, handling mail, appointments, expense reports, and necessary arrangements involving travel, audio-visual aides, seminar/lunch/dinner reservations, meetings, seminars, etc.
Serve as key point of contact for new client onboarding. Produce new account documentation, monitor transfer of assets, and effectively communicate with the client and internal partners to facilitate account opening, funding, online portal enrollment, and account access. Accountable in partnership with Wealth Strategists for first class client onboarding experience and seamless transition to Northern Trust.
Perform initial research and/or review of prospective clients and community members utilizing media and existing tools (e.g. Wealthmonitor, Wealth Engine, Lexus Nexis).
Capture, organize, and update leads in systems through data entry, management, and review to maintain prospect lists, pipeline reporting, marketing and relationship campaigns, and lead generation initiatives such as digital nurture campaigns, marketing initiatives, and event marketing.
Prepare and assemble lead generation materials (i.e. letters, collateral) and execute administrative components of proactive drip marketing campaigns including physical and electronic mailings, follow-up, and data maintenance. Compose letters to prospective clients and follows up with telephone calls to arrange meetings. Set up active files on new business opportunities and reminders to initiate calls for making forward progress.
Maintain a working knowledge of available marketing collateral, prospecting materials, sales resources, and best practices to support Wealth Strategists in ongoing prospective client outreach. Prepare presentation material using current compliant marketing material with no controllable errors.
Execute the consistent and disciplined use of systems for call reporting, opportunity tracking, campaign execution, and special projects. Enter and maintain accurate data in all CRM systems on behalf of the sales process.
Submits account documents to the legal area and external attorneys after inspecting them to ensure adherence to established guidelines and to obtain missing information, correct documents, clarify information, and resolve problem situations.
Utilizes technology capabilities, initiatives, and hardware to effectively deliver best in class, modern client experience and solutions for engaging with prospective clients in a high-tech, high-touch, digital environment.
Develops and maintains a strong internal network to effectively collaborate across internal departments in delivering a seamless, high-quality experience for prospects, clients, and senior employees.
Performs special projects (i.e. coordinating reports, preparing account analysis and workflow reports) that require responding to specific account inquiries and issues.
Develop in-depth knowledge of a full range of trust-oriented services (e.g. personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, security custody, financial consulting, estate and tax planning). Attend meetings and classes to keep abreast of personal financial planning
products and services.
Other duties and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of personal financial planning, trust and investment products and services are required to perform primary duties. Knowledge of the bank computer applications (Lotus Notes, Trust System, Contact Management) is required to generate sales reports and databases. Organizational and personal computer skills are necessary to prepare materials for prospect and COI meetings and presentations.
Knowledge of fiduciary products and services (e.g. personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, security custody, financial consulting, estate planning), including fee structures, documentation, policies and procedures usually acquired through work-related instruction or work experience is required to respond to account related matters and various sales situations.
Knowledge of the duties performed within the various departments and divisions of the bank acquired through work experience is required to direct inquiries and requests for client-related information.
Analytical, organizational and sales skills are required to proactively manage the sales process. Interactive skills are required to understand prospect needs and respond with the appropriate solutions.
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience
Strong computer skills PowerPoint, Word, Excel
1-3+ years of administrative support in trust sales or trust relationship management experience
Salary Range:
54,625.00 - 70,000 USD
