- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- Experience working with Excel as well as large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, Python, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses to management for decision making.
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience working with Tableau is a plus

The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. The Amazon Advertising (Ads) Sales FP&A team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team to enhance and streamline foundational aspects of our reporting to drive consistency and analytics across our global sales team. This includes holistic ownership of productivity, country level P&Ls, Benchmarking and cost of service analytics.
This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, outstanding business acumen and strong interpersonal skills to partner with Finance, Sales, Analytics, and Product teams. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment with exposure to senior leadership. This role is currently an “individual contributor” position.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with the Analytics team to both centralize and automate our reporting to drive insights around key metrics (e.g. Revenue, OPEX, Productivity, Inputs, Retention) for the Global Advertising Sales team
- Build, iterate, and automate financial reports, metrics, and scorecards to support short and long-term planning
- Establish cost of service analytics and validation
- Help establish revenue and cost flash reporting
- Contribute with analyses and insights in Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews
