- 5+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in successfully driving complex projects and programs.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. The Sales Planning and Policy (SP2) team within AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) Operations is looking for an innovative, customer-centric, and experienced Sr. Policy Manager. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing guidelines and implementing policies that will support our sales planning processes. This high-visibility role will have a broad global reach across the organization, collaborating with stakeholders in various business units. This is a ground up opportunity to help shape the business and operating model of a rapidly growing organization.
Key job responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to dive deep into areas of policy that need addressing.
- Investigate disconnects, solicit feedback, gather documents, and gain alignment on proposals.
- Engage with Segmentation Operations and Business Operations to extract information from internal systems, providing quantitative data about current or projected impact of a component of Policy.
- Conduct desk research to confirm findings or to introduce a proposal for further internal research.
- Lead policy reviews, lending a customer-obsessed and data-driven view to the conversation.
- Document new or amended policy for inclusion in our system of record.
- Support product partners in the codification of policy into software and other tooling.
- Support the SP2 team and other cross-functional partners in answering questions, making judgment calls, and resolving disputes about applying policy.
- Own policy development initiatives.
- Take on ad hoc related projects as necessary.
