The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a C&I End User Sales Professional, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Driving profitable sales for the C&I business in the assigned territory.
- Developing, Implementing, and Executing effective territory business plans.
- Prioritizing your end customers, markets, and distributors to drive effective territory management.
- Implementing promotions, and directives as set by division management.
- Collaborating across other C&I territories and within other 3M Divisions to meet customer needs.
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of four (4) years of work experience in the electrical, construction and/or safety industry in a private, public, government or military environment
OR
- High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of eight (8) years of work experience in the electrical, construction and/or safety industry in a private, public, government or military environment
AND
- Current, valid Driver’s License
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- MBA is preferred.
- Sales experience in the Electrical Construction and Electrical Industrial Markets
- Aptitude to understand and train customers on multiple product lines and applications.
- Field/Channel sales experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels.
- Ability to qualify and prioritize sales opportunities within their assigned territory.
- Experience working in a matrix environment or large complex organization.
- Strong negotiation and relationship building skills.
- Strong computer skills, Database management: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Salesforce.com
Work location:
Travel: May include up to 50% domestic
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized.
