Location: Remote position
- Expect moderate travel for both classroom training and in the field selling with tenured sales representatives and account managers.
- Classroom training will take place in our PatientPoint offices located in Chicago, Cincinnati and/or Tampa.
Job Summary
As a Sales Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of sales within our organization. This internship is designed to provide exposure to sales methodologies, customer interaction, market research, and overall business development strategies. You will work closely with our sales team, learning from experienced professionals and contributing to the growth of our business.
What You’ll Do
- Support Sales Team: Assist the sales team in day-to-day activities such as prospecting, lead generation, and client communication.
- Market Research: Conduct research on potential clients, industry trends, and competitors to identify opportunities for business growth.
- CRM Management: Utilize our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to update client information, track sales activities, and generate reports for analysis.
- Sales Collateral Development: Assist in the creation of sales presentations, proposals, and other collateral materials to support the sales process.
- Customer Communication: Communicate with existing and potential customers in person, via email, phone, and other channels to gather information, answer inquiries, and schedule appointments.
- Sales Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in Sales Meetings: Attend sales meetings and training sessions to learn about sales strategies, product knowledge, and best practices.
- Shadow Sales Representatives and Account Managers: Accompany sales representatives and account managers both remotely and in person for presentations, and negotiations to observe sales techniques and strategies in action.
- Capstone Project: Summarize your time as a PatientPoint intern and present to sales leadership on key learnings and experiences.
What We Need
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
Desired Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
