The team you will be a part of
The Retail & Builder Channel within Whirlpool Corporation manages roughly $4 Billion dollars in gross sales business across the independent retail as well as contract single-family and multi-family builders and authorized builder distributors in the United States. Within the 6 established geographical regions, the South Atlantic Region covers the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi. The region consists of a talented team of Senior Sales Managers, Market Managers, Top Account Sales Managers, Market Development Managers and Market Development Representatives. The team also has several team members that support the region such as Regional Builder Managers, Regional Builder Analysts, a Finance lead, and a Channel Analyst.
This role in summary
The Sales Manager sits within the South Atlantic Region and is responsible for BrandsMart USA. At ~$50m in gross sales, this dynamic role provides a unique opportunity for Tier 1 account management, with significant strategic impact and growth projections. Our new Sales Manager will oversee sales of all Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid and Amana appliances. They will also have end to end P&L ownership and lead the joint business development strategy.
This role will be based in Florida (Ft. Lauderdale or Miami). Travel will be required (50%).
Your responsibilities will include
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with the buying team as well as store managers and sales associates at trade customers
- Develop pricing, programming, marketing plans and sales execution strategies
- Deliver revenue, margin, share goals and deliver accurate volume forecasts
- Manage allowances and local merchandising funds to maximize return on investment
- Share best practices and lead special projects as needed within the region and channel team
Minimum requirements
- Bachelors’ degree
- 3+ years strategic selling and negotiating in the home appliance marketplace
Preferred skills and experiences
- Strong presentation and product training skills
- Analytical mindset
- Exceptional communication skills and detailed follow up
- Strong financial acumen including P&L understanding
- Strong knowledge of Whirlpool operations and support functions process
- Experience as a sales market manager
- Experience coaching others and and exhibiting leadership in a matrix environment
