Job Description:
The Account Manager position provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated, self-managed individual looking for a challenging career in the surfacing industry. The goal of this position is to increase the sales of Corian® Solid Surface, Corian® Quartz and Corian® Endura brands through partnerships with fabricators, millworkers, architectural and design firms, and national accounts. This role will deliver tailored solutions throughout the entire value chain in the western portion of the United States.
* Please note - preferred hiring location for this position is the West Coast
Essential Functions:
- Proactively develop and maintain collaborative relationships with top tier fabricators, millworkers, architects, interior designers, owners, and general contractors to increase preference and demand for Corian® branded products.
- Provide market back insights from the western region of the US to the Corian® Design business.
- Assist Channel Manager with in-market needs and feedback.
- Ability to provide technical support, facilitate training and guidance to fabrication and millwork partners in conjunction with Corian® Design internal resources and distributor partners.
- Maintain and grow existing national account business, as well as develop and drive new relationships with prospecting accounts.
- Manage and track large project opportunities from the planning stage to gain preferential spec position. Hold and maintain the specification in conjunction with channel partners through to close.
- Actively track and regularly update in Salesforce.com with a minimum number of projects, prospecting and existing national accounts where Corian® brands are specified.
- Manage a project and account pipeline delivering revenue against overall business goals.
- Identify and manage opportunities using Construct Connect and Salesforce.com.
- Conduct continuing education unit (CEU) and product presentations.
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the commercial design process, project lifecycle, construction industry, LEED and sustainability issues.
- Network through industry events and local associations such as AIA (American Institute of Architects), CSI (Construction Specifications Institute), IIDA (International Interior Design Association), ISFA (International Surface Fabricators Association)
- Interact and collaborate with local distributor commercial specialists to prioritize regional opportunities, plan selling strategies, and analyze local market and competitive information.
- Scout, develop and execute the launch of differentiated offerings beyond sheets and slabs that demand different routes to market and/or partners and customers.
- Maintain an effective home office while working independently and pro-actively.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Five years+ of sales experience in surfacing industry.
