Job Title: Financial Business Development Analyst (Consultant)
A little bit about our team:
Our team is responsible for all deal valuations for Recorded Music's global catalog division. In this role you will (1) help WMG grow its market share through M&A transactions and (2) retain rights that are at risk of loss via creative deal structuring and always look for win-win outcomes.
Your role:
This position within the Global Catalog Deal Team is responsible for leading WMG’s deal analysis and executive approval process, among other strategic projects.
Here you’ll get to:
Manage financial and strategic analysis of all Global Catalog deals by collaborating with different business units to model investment returns, establish strategic rationale, and present deals to executive management for approval
Lead financial due diligence for new and existing artist deals and follow through with post mortem analyses post execution
Partner with executive team in establishing best practices and optimizing deal structures
Leverage in-depth understanding of market dynamics to support and challenge the team during deal negotiations
Manage approval process for executive approval-level deals, including preparation and submission of transaction summaries
About you:
Deep understanding of finance and cash flow concepts/principles as well as NPV and IRR calculations
Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to identify and solve problems; critical thinking skills
Excel super user (VBA, keyboard shortcuts, etc.)
Ability to quickly learn new systems and develop new processes
Ability to communicate with senior level management team
Ability to analyze large data sets and draw conclusions
Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and develop
Ability to work independently as well as to work as part of a team
Knowledge of music/media industry strong plus
We’d love it if you also had:
BA in Finance, Economics or Accounting
5+ years of finance-related experience in corporate finance, consulting, business development, or other analytical role

Salary Range
$40.00 to $50.00 Hourly
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law.The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
