The Institutional Equity Division (IED) is a global leader in the origination, distribution and trading of equity, equity-linked and equity-derivative securities. The Firm’s equity Sales & Trading operations provide liquidity, distribute content, and create product solutions to help our clients generate alpha. The Equity Financing Products department acts as a strategic partner to more than 800 top hedge fund managers: executing and clearing trades across asset classes, time zones, and currencies; providing financing and expertise to help manage risk and benefit from technology; and consults to help launch new funds and connect with them potential investors.
The Institutional Equities Division (IED) in San Francisco is in need of a US Equities Salesperson
Duties include:
• Coverage responsibility for institutional equity clients – hedge funds and global asset managers
• Act as the liaison to investors for equities content, capital markets, research, and firm resources
• Develop external relationships that will lead to commercial opportunities for the firm
• Desire/interest in equity markets
• Flexibility with working hours and travel for client meetings
• Ability to perform duties pro-actively, reliably, and autonomously
• Well organized, with initiative and grit
• Team player with a desire to win, open-minded
• Effective communications and persuasive ability
Regular Contacts and Reporting Relationships:
• Client facing role
• Contact with Equity Sales and Trading team
• Contact with other divisions within Morgan Stanley
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
