Director of Mid-Market Sales
Location: Dallas, TX (onsite at our Dallas office)
Job Summary:
Alkira is seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded individual to join our team as the Director of Mid-Market Sales. The Director of Mid-Market Sales is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration within the mid-market business segment. This role will manage a team of sales professionals, implement sales processes, and ensure the achievement of sales targets. The Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product, and customer success to ensure alignment and success in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy to drive revenue growth in the mid-market segment.
- Set and achieve sales targets, including revenue, customer acquisition, and profitability goals.
- Identify new market opportunities and key industry trends to expand the customer base.
- Analyze sales data, trends, and performance metrics to inform decision-making and strategic planning
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of mid-market sales representatives and managers.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and professional development to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the sales team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and track individual and team performance.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key mid-market clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Act as an escalation point for client issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Develop strategies to strengthen client relationships and grow account value.
Sales Operations:
- Implement and optimize sales processes, tools, and technologies to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure alignment on lead generation efforts and brand positioning.
- Work with finance and operations to develop sales forecasts, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales performance, pipeline status, and forecasted revenue
Collaboration and Cross-functional Alignment:
- Work closely with product teams to communicate customer feedback and market insights to influence product development.
- Partner with customer success teams to ensure a seamless post-sale experience and maximize customer lifetime value.
- Align with marketing to ensure effective go-to-market strategies and execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience (typically 7-10+ years) in sales leadership roles, particularly in the mid-market or B2B space.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Experience managing and scaling sales teams.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Clari) and sales analytics.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the technology, SaaS, or digital services sectors.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the market and industry trends.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Results-oriented with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
