Business Development Representative, ServiceMax
Location: Boston, MA- 3 days/week in office

The Business Development Representative is part of the PTC front line, the point where many individuals encounter our company for the first time. In this role, you will pursue target accounts with help from campaign-driven marketing, through different channels. As part of a streamlined, end-to-end demand system, you will convert these leads to validated opportunities before engaging PTC sales teams for deal closure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate conversations with potential customers over the telephone, Linkedin and email.
- Generate prospective customers through cold calling and qualified leads.
- Qualify prospective customer for a conversation with the Account Executive.
- Set up follow up meetings with prospect and Account Executive.
- Nurture prospective customers by inviting them to webinars, events and industry specific activities.
- Keep up with blogs and articles pertinent to the business to share on social media and with customers.
- Attend industry specific training and educate yourself on the ins and outs of your prospects business.
- Lead customers to take ownership of explaining their business problems through mutual understanding.
- Engage customers by creating exciting dialogue and use active listening techniques to diffuse tense collaboration and decision-making situations in teams.
What you bring to this role
- Comfortable making phone calls in an open and positive environment (previous experience in a sales type role or as a BDR would be a plus)
- Experience with Databases and/or Customer Relationship Management Systems like SalesForce.
- Ability to multitask & manage high volumes of activity & demonstrate maximum results.
- “Can do” attitude and willingness to adapt to change.
- Ability to overcome objections and rejections. This role requires someone who is willing to shift gears quickly and navigate ambiguity.
- Ability to turn problems into an opportunity by making both customer and ServiceMax view end result as a win for both organizations.
- Explore new strategies and offerings to creatively drive account growth by generating new concepts and ideas to overcome challenges.
- Willingness to work with others on how to collect, analyze, and share information about market trends and competitors to increase customer retention and attract new business.
- Proactively identify trends via data analysis and make strategic recommendations as appropriate.
