Business Development Manager is a critical role to help drive SD Digital's hypergrowth. We are open to individuals working remotely from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio or West Virginia for this opportunity.WHAT YOU'LL DO- Perform sales activities that establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and/or prospective customers to generate new business for an assigned geographic area, set of named accounts across product/service lines to achieve or exceed revenue objectives
- Consult and propose SD Digital products and services to new logo customers
- Own product demonstration and service proposal process, with the support of Service Line Leadership, across SD Digital offerings
- Optimize sales processes and recommend brand material changes - based on market feedback - to drive increased lead conversion, increased predictability in pipeline and increased win likelihood
- Collaborate with marketing on strategies to generate and qualify leads to take them through the sales cycle
- Research prospective accounts in target markets, maintain leads and opportunity details in Dynamics CRM, develop quotes and proposals for prospective customers and qualify leads
- Uncover customer's pain points, negative consequences and desired positive business outcomes to identify the best solution; clearly present the value of company's products/services through metrics and proof points while tying to the customer's needs and differentiating from competition
- Develop actionable win strategies for opportunities and work with the SD Digital delivery/pre-sales teams to develop recommended solutions, investment levels and expected benefits during the sales process
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
- Own the authoring of Statements of Work for opportunities, working with the SD Digital Service Line Leaders
- Own a personal marketing plan which may include:
- Community involvement
- Speaking engagements
- Attend conferences and industry events
- Attend firm events
- Regularly write blog posts to enhance our web presence
- Internal firm marketing/relationship building with shareholders and other leaders within the firm
- Work with the SD Digital team to maintain demo environments, marketing and sales efforts to existing customers, identify products and partners that would be of benefit to existing/targeted customers, as well as identify channel relationships with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Referral Partners (i.e., private equity, D365 CRM, MSPs, etc.)
- Collaborate with delivery team and development resources to create industry specific intellectual property
- Own project handoff to the delivery team, and occasionally participate in delivery and support
- Partner with the Technology Advisors to identify new industry verticals, and participate in planning business and revenue growth
- Attend relevant training and obtain required certifications
WHAT YOU'LL NEED- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Technical field required
- Minimum of five years of consulting experience in selling software solutions is required
- Demonstrated knowledge of product implementations and strategic/advisory consulting solutions is required
- Prior experience selling technical services, delivering technical solutions and/or managing partners in a channel eco-system is required
- Prior experience working in Finance and Operations is preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently, as well as with other practices
- Aptitude for problem-solving and ability to determine appropriate solutions for clients
