ROLE OVERVIEWWe are seeking a National Account Manager to lead, manage, and, develop the Walmart business for the Melissa & Doug core toy product portfolio. This person will accelerate toy sales growth across all Walmart platforms including ecommerce and brick and mortar. You will report to the Vice President, Walmart.
Responsibilities:- Play a key role in developing business and substantive account plans inclusive of business and marketing strategies that drive revenue growth for Melissa & Doug
- Achieve targeted objectives for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), inclusive of sales, profit, shipment targets consistent with delivering the goals of the broader organization.
- Maintain and develop strong account relations through day to day business management and strategic interactions with Walmart's merchandising, marketing, and operations teams
- Develop strong relationships with key internal and external cross-functional partners
- Plan and conduct business review meetings in partnership with the VP to create and execute win-win sales opportunities.
- Identify business opportunities for program expansion in stores and online; use sales data to garner key insights that can help drive assortment/businesses decisions and ensure growth plans remain consistent with annual goals
- Drive development of the sales story and presentations
- Manage and share accurate forecasting to inform efficient production, development, logistics needs internally and externally
- Maintain an in depth knowledge around all aspects of the business
- Form strong partnerships with the broader Walmart and total Sales teams
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications:- BS/BA or University degree in Business or similar field, MBA a plus
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in a fast-moving consumer packaged goods (CPG) company selling to Walmart, or within Walmart Stores Inc.
- Toy industry experience preferred
- 2+ years of eCommerce experience with proven track record of driving accelerated digital revenue growth a plus
- Thorough understanding of processes and a track record of growing consumer goods sales at Walmart and/or Walmart.com
- Expertise in transforming strategy and vision into actionable plans
- Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints and within budget parameters
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically as needed
- Advanced Excel/analytical and PowerPoint presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong strategic & financial capabilities and comfort with tactical execution
- Superior attention to detail, time management and follow through
