About This Role: Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team in Business Development! As a member of the Business Development team at Veranex, you will be part of a team working to improve lives globally through medical technology innovation.
As part of the Business Development, Clinical Data Services (CDS) team, you will impact the success of the organization by driving sales of company solutions and services to prospective and current customers across client's product lifecycles.
What You Will Do:- Generates sales to new customers and cross-, up-, and repeat sales to existing customers.
- Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for company's vision and drives enthusiasm for organization's work.
- Work alongside a team of business development professionals
- Demonstrates sales excellence through establishing priorities and objectives
- Assesses customer needs and recommends appropriate products, services, and/or solutions
- Develops and delivers sales bids/proposals/presentations, interaction with key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Understand Veranex's cross-sell opportunities that impact/overlap with Clinical Data Services (i.e. regulatory, market access, reimbursement, product development, quality assurance)
- Develops medium- to long-term sales plans and prepares strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with targeted customers
- Networks, develops potential leads, and follows through to bring in new business
- Coordinates with operations leaders to create specific solutions for potential clients
- Building awareness and establishing credibility globally of Veranex's capacity and capabilities
- Prospecting and networking to generate leads and identify prospective new clients, engaging with prospective clients, completing proposals and closing sales
- Creates formal networks with key decision makers and serves as an external spokesperson for the organization.
- Directly influence design/selling success or address strategy, future concepts, products or technologies
- Develop and grow influential relationships that generate leads at the strategic accounts level
Qualifications:Required skills:- Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of 8+ years (Director) or 12+ years (Sr. Director) of experience at level of demonstrated success in sales generation and achieving high-growth sales targets. Sr. Director requires understanding C-suite's mid- and long-range strategy, demonstrated strategic account success, and experience mentoring a sales team
- Experience with MedTech, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), pharmaceutical, biotech companies, and a track record of success selling services competitively in this space
- Knowledge of electronic data capture (EDC) systems, clinical data management, and a track record of success selling services competitively in this space
- Goal-driven with a sense of urgency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to present at all levels of an organization, both internal and external
- Ability to work cross-functionally across Veranex business units and multiple service lines
- Strong financial and analytical skills
