Job DescriptionApps Associates seeks a sales professional with proven high-level expertise in driving solution sales through a consultative sales approach. Qualified candidates should have a successful track record selling complex digital transformation solutions and must be able to build relationships at the highest levels of organizations. This individual will focus on growing the Apps Associates Salesforce practice by utilizing advisory, implementation and managed services to build the pipeline. A successful Director of Business Development has exceptional organizational skills; written and verbal communication skills and a strong desire to prospect and close new logo business. He/she is a high-intensity and intelligent 'hunter' with a demonstrated track record of aggressively building a funnel and translating opportunities into successful and long-standing client partnerships. Industry related selling experience and technical competency are required. Trusted relationships within the Salesforce eco-system are essential to build quick momentum in this role.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Include, but are not limited to the following:
- Complete all company required training, but pro-actively seek and obtain the knowledge/capabilities to enable sales success in your market.
- Understand and articulate (orally, written, PowerPoint presentation) the company value proposition into specific customer benefits
- Build the sales funnel:
- Partner with key counterparts within the Salesforce ecosystem to build pipeline.
- Work with Apps Associates Alliances team and the Salesforce channel to build exciting networking and client events.
- "Cold" lead development - Working to identify 'suspect' accounts and working with Inside sales and marketing to develop relevant campaigns, generate new leads and capture new accounts.
- "Warm" lead development - existing account expansion (cross-sell and upsell), RFP responses, former account recovery, etc.
- Utilize Salesforce.com as basis for: contact management database, sales opportunity tracking, account planning, sales forecast and report generation.
- Meet/exceed sales quotas and display a strong understanding of sales methodology and best practice to achieve quotas.
- Attend training on sales techniques, technology, presentation skills.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: - 5+ years experience successfully selling Salesforce solutions/products.
- Strong network of Salesforce Core AE's and SE's.
- Industry Experience within Manufacturing and/or High Tech.
- Strong Executive presence and customer facing communication skills.
- Successful track record of meeting and exceeding quota over the last five years.
- BA/BS degree required or Associates Degree with 5+ years of relevant work and industry experience.
- MBA Desired.
- Success translating customer goals into a sales strategy to support revenue achievement
