Fontaine Fifth Wheel is seeking a dynamic and experienced OEM Account Manager to cultivate and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders at two major OEMs located on the West Coast. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, fostering collaboration between internal departments and the assigned OEM accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
Location: Remote (West Coast preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key purchasing, marketing, and engineering personnel at designated OEM accounts.
- Understand the needs and objectives of the OEM customers and align Fontaine Fifth Wheel's products and services to meet those requirements and achieve best possible positioning within the OEM's data-book.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Program Managers, to address and resolve any issues or challenges encountered by the assigned OEM accounts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the OEM customers, addressing inquiries, providing technical support, and ensuring timely resolution of any concerns.
- Identify opportunities for business expansion and growth within the assigned OEM accounts and develop strategies to capitalize on those opportunities.
- Conduct regular business reviews with OEM customers to assess performance, address feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Represent Fontaine Fifth Wheel at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as required.
- Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and analyses related to sales performance, customer satisfaction, and market trends.
- Travel to customer sites, as needed, ranging from 30% to 60% of the time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related field, preferred.
- Proven track record of success in account management, preferably within the Trucking, Automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach to achieving targets and objectives.
- Willingness to travel extensively, as required, to meet with customers and attend industry events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software
