Senior Manager, Manufacturing Relations will act as an account manager for an assigned group of tire manufacturers to strengthen relationships, develop new business opportunities and execute supply chain strategies and programs to achieve revenue and profitability goals. This manager will effectively build and leverage relationships across the SimpleTire supply chain, operations, merchandising and marketing functions to create programs that benefit both manufacturers and the Company and to fulfill contractual agreements.
Essential job functions will include the following:- Execute strategy and programs to enhance SimpleTire sourcing and to position the company to achieve volume and profitability goals with assigned group of tire manufacturers
- Develop high and wide productive business relationships with tire manufacturers to uncover new business opportunities that drive growth. (Line-Level to C-Level)
- Identify, propose and structure creative solutions for SimpleTire and Supplier by working in collaboration with functional deal teams including - Marketing, Sales, Operations, Legal and Finance.
- Ability to research, conceptualize, design and manage programs regarding alternative strategies and operating models that demonstrate a positive ROI.
- Negotiate, author and manage contracts as well as navigate issues with supplier partners using a Win/Win solutions approach.
- Interact cross-functionally to identify internal stakeholder needs and programs to present to the manufacturer network for funding. Collaborate with finance to collect all negotiated items with suppliers.
- Perform both qualitative and quantitative analysis on programs and develop recommendations based on data and experience.
- Work with manufacturers to develop and implement content and to leverage their resources to supply SimpleTire with promotional opportunities (reviews, events, etc.).
QualificationsPosition Requirements- Bachelor's degree in a business discipline is required or must have necessary experience; MBA a plus
- Three to Five (3-5) years of successful large account management experience
- Success using a large account selling process that emphasizes the identification of key business drivers and enables Win-Win opportunities that favorably align to Simple Tire's goals.
- The ideal candidate will be channel passionate, collaborative, and flexible as well as demonstrate initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities.
- Must be a highly motivated and inspired leader that possesses strong organizational skills, communication skills and has the ability to articulate Simple Tire's programs and business strategies to drive demand and position the company as the segment leader.
- Tire and/or automotive parts and service experience is preferred.
- Excellent computer and analytical skills to build reports to substantiate research and findings. Key business applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Google Suite, and our internal web-portal.
- Ability to think and conceptualize best practices and communicate these organization-wide.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Continuous computer screen viewing and typing
- Talking through the computer for many meetings and one-to-one conversations
- Travel as necessary (25% - 35%).
