Overview: The Account Executive is responsible for maintaining efficient and positive relationships with The Olson Group's clients. This position serves as a consultant, guiding clients through the complexities of the insurance industry. The Account Executive involves strategic planning, communication, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless client experiences.
Primary Job Responsibilities:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: - Maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and promptly responding to inquiries.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with carriers and stay up to date on current industry trends and compliance publications.
- Proactively communicate with client facilities to maintain healthy relationships.
- Collaborate with Account Managers internally to ensure efficient operations and identify opportunities for enhancing client interactions.
- Plan and strategize ways to mitigate and navigate the dynamic insurance industry landscape, tailoring solutions for each client's unique needs.
- Lead client renewal and strategy meetings to ensure alignment with their long term goals.
- Act as a consultant for clients regarding overall strategic plans and execution, providing valuable insights and guidance.
- Coordinate and lead employee educational meetings and open enrollment sessions to empower clients and their employees.
- Travel to client facilities for in-person meetings, fostering tangible and fresh client relationships.
- Plan and prepare for client meetings, including the creation of materials that support client engagement and understanding.
- Stay updated on industry compliance, trends, and developments that impact The Olson Group's clients.
- Attend internal and external training meetings to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Engage in discussions with carriers to ensure the best possible solutions for our clients.
- Update internal CRM systems to maintain accurate and up to date client records.
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure the smooth flow of operations and efficient client service delivery.

Requirements:Skills and Abilities - Possess a strong understanding of employee benefits, including knowledge of various benefit types, compliance with relevant regulations, and awareness of emerging trends and best practices.
- Ability to identify areas of improvement and implement innovative solutions to optimize processes, streamline operations and workflow efficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information clearly and transparently.
- Familiarity and proficiency in using relevant software applications, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other tools used for client management and communication.
- Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding clients' unique needs, and providing customized insurance solutions.
- Detailed-oriented and organized with excellent project management abilities.
- Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex scenarios and develop solutions for clients
- Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and client information.
Education and ExperienceRequired:
- 3 or more years of experience in a sales, business development, or account management position
- Associate Degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Nebraska Life and Health Insurance License
Preferred:
- Experience in the employee benefits industry
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
