As a Business Development Manager within North America you will be responsible for profitably growing revenue and market share in North America in addition to discovering and developing new opportunities to drive future growth. This role is a critical position to guide the direction of the business unit and establish future growth strategies. This position reports directly to the Director of Commercial Sales.
This role is performed largely in a remote office environment, with travel to key customers, tradeshows, manufacturing operations and other as required. The hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week but may vary according to special projects, deadlines, or other concerns.
What You'll Do- Identify opportunities for new & existing product development.
- Develop relationships with operators and their bottling network and utilize the relationships to drive revenue growth.
- Act as a main point of contact between the company and client and own cross-functional relationships within MFT to help leverage our strengths as ONE MFT.
- Understand clients business objectives / challenges and implement growth strategies for each of the assigned segments.
- Regularly meet with bottlers, procurement, Key Accounts, and LPOs to develop new and existing business relationships.
- Analyze account performance, including revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Use data and insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to account strategies.
- Prepare sales forecasts, track progress toward revenue targets, and provide regular reports to management on the status of customer performance.
- Providing Voice of the Customer feedback to the Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and other key internal teams.
- Deliver commercial support for new product development, new product launches, marketing campaigns, customer service, and technical support.

- Negotiate in alignment with existing purchasing agreements and promote equipment bundles across the MFT portfolio with existing and prospective operators
- Strong communication skills including writing, speaking, presentation, networking and listening.
- An ambitious hunter who identifies the most promising new sales opportunities by uncovering emerging business, market issues, and identifying potential customer organizations and their influential decision makers
- Innovation driven to create opportunities that inspire the market for overall solutions
- Builds lasting customer relationships to ensure our partner's needs are met in a mutually beneficial way for both parties
Skills/Experience We're Looking For- Broad based commercial skills with some knowledge of finance, operations, logistics, human resources, in addition to sales and marketing
- Highly energetic, motivated, assertive, and able to take directions and work as a team but also encompasses an entrepreneurial attitude.
- Demonstrates proficiency in public speaking, with the capability to deliver engaging hands-on equipment training sessions and compelling business presentations.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools.
Required Qualifications- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years' experience managing the sales process in the foodservice and beverage industry or other manufacturing industries using consultative sales methods and corporate account management.
- Exceptional experience in marketing, and sales of beverage and foodservice equipment preferably to corporations and large chain customers.
- Extensive travel is required to cultivate and strengthen relationships through face- to -face meetings across diverse locations nationwide.
