Job SummaryCroda is seeking a sales professional for an Account Manager position for our Personal Care market sector. The Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth through current customers as well as new customers through sales development activities in the Midwest area.
Duties and Responsibilities:Key Duties:
Maintain or increase share at current customers
• Identify and deliver new pieces of business by developing projects with R&D and Purchasing
• Negotiate pricing and terms.
• Develop and execute account plans and share them globally where applicable
• Manage Sales contracts and agreements including pricing, payment terms, and rebates
• Establish proper call frequency and follow-up ensuring strong relationships at all levels within the account
• Guides customers to develop formulations using our products
Expand Customer Base
• Prospect for new customers and develop sales leads from trade shows, webinars, seminars, etc.
• Field requests and inquiries from new customer prospects
• Establish new business relationships with valid new customer contacts
• Present Croda Inc professionally throughout the industry
Maintain Regional Market Knowledge
• Develop a skillset in Croda technologies and applications
• Report all customer activity with the CRM system
• Attend approved industry events
• Identify market trends, opportunities and threats for our technologies
Maintain Company Databases
• Input weekly call reports
• Input sample request by end of day that call is made
• Issue quarterly reports
• Input and Update Sales Pipeline for prospect and customer projects
• Maintain and update forecasting system
The Account Manager will perform all duties within the Company's safety, health and environmental regulations. All other duties as assignment by management.
QualificationsEducation and Training:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry or other technical field preferred.
Knowledge and Experience:
• Must have oral and written proficiency in the English language.
• Expertise in account management, price negotiations, project management and effectively managing customer relationships at all levels within an organization.
- 5+ years' experience in specialty chemical sales (specifically in "Personal Care"), with a proven track record of success
Skills and Abilities• Must have oral and written proficiency in the English language.
• Expertise in account management, price negotiations, project management and effectively managing customer relationships at all levels within an organization.
- Highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills required.
- Must be a self-starter that can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Travel and visit customers a minimum of 50% of work time.
Physical Demands:
Able to walk, stand or sit for a minimum of 8 hours per day. Required extensive travel-must be able to travel by plane and car and lift 30 pounds.
