PURPOSE:
We are seeking a driven and high-energy Accounts Payable Manager with extensive experience leading and assisting in the processing of a high volume of invoices. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing our payable process and mentoring the A/P team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Manage the Accounts Payable department- you will be coordinating efforts relating to payables and supervising department employees.
• Manage the invoice input and payment process for all vendors/suppliers.
• Release vendor invoices for payment
• Implement process improvements and maintain procedures.
• Develop and prepare metric reporting to monitor department efficiency.
• Ensure that vendors are paid accurately and in a timely manner and handle issues or concerns with vendors pertaining to payment disbursement
• Communicate with field locations with excellent customer service while enforcing procedures, and providing training when necessary
• Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
• Prior experience in the construction industry is preferred
• Experience with Spectrum Accounting Software is a big plus
• 5-6 years' experience working in accounts payable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
• Well-organized; detail-oriented

- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and efficiently operate computer, calculator, copier, fax and other business office equipment.
- Comply with accounting and all other company policies, procedures, as well as all relevant federal, state and local reporting requirements.
