About Douce James: The Douce Agency, LLC was established in 2017 in Marion, Ohio. We serve customers all over the state of Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan and specialize in multiple lines of insurance, including home, auto, life, retirement, commercial, investments, farm and crop insurance.
Overview: The Account Manager will play a crucial role in providing superior service to Douce James' existing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities and fostering strong client relationships. This position is responsible for writing new policies, cross-selling insurance products, and addressing client inquiries.
Primary Job Responsibilities:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide superior service to existing clients, catering to their insurance needs promptly and effectively.
- Respond to client inquires, handle payments, requote policies, and manage policy adjustments to meet client expectations.
- Conduct policy reviews and client meetings to understand and fulfill client requirements.
- Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell insurance products to meet client needs.
- Generate new business by actively pursuing and closing sales opportunities.
- Prepare and delivery timely and accurate insurance quotes to potential clients.
- Ensure daily banking transactions, deposits, and money transfers are completed accurately and promptly.
- Issue and deliver COIs as required by the clients.
- Utilize agency management systems to uphold the highest standard in managing and maintaining client records.
- Handle administrative tasks related to policy servicing, including payments, rate comparisons, and customer inquiries.
- Plan and organize client and office events to foster relationships and enhance Douce James' presence in the community.

Requirements:Skills and Abilities - Possess a comprehensive knowledge of personal and commercial lines insurance products, coverages, policies, and procedures.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
- Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding clients' unique needs, and providing customized insurance solutions.
- Ability to identify areas of improvement and implement innovative solutions to optimize processes, streamline operations and workflow efficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information clearly and transparently.
- Familiarity and proficiency in using relevant software applications, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other tools used for client management and communication.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and client information.
Education and ExperienceRequired:
- 2 or more years of experience in an account management function.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ohio Property and Casualty Insurance License
Preferred:
- Experience in the personal or commercial lines insurance industry, specifically in an account management function
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or a similar field.
- Insurance designations such as CIC, AU, CPCU, etc.
