Compensation - $65,000-85,000 base salary. OTE $100,000-120,000.Our client is a global engineering design firm based in Santa Clara, California (and with offices internationally). They specialize in embedded software/hardware, electronics, and electro-mechanics. As a Business Development Representative, your main focus will be on sales and marketing activities, seeking out new business opportunities and developing relationships with potential clients. You'll work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and Aftermarket teams to expand services and offerings.
Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Qualify leads and reach out to potential clients through various channels.
- Present the company and services to prospective clients.
- Understand client needs and tailor solutions to meet them.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Work with internal teams to support customer requests and develop proposals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and product offerings.
- Participate in marketing activities, trade shows, and conventions.
- Conduct market research and travel as needed.
What You'll Need- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Previous experience in a similar sales role.
- Experience selling software or hardware engineering services in industries like Telecom, Automotive, Industrial, Consumer, MedTech, Connected Devices, or IoT.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with CRM software and MS Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Valid driver's license and access to a car.
