to fill our Business Development Representative position in the Salt Lake City, UT area. We are the largest Material Handling Equipment Company in the Southwest. Naumann/Hobbs Material Handling, Inc. sells, rents, services, and supplies parts on an extensive line of material handling products. We are a staple in the Valley with almost 70 years of business experience and over 100 million in annual sales.The Service Sales Representative is responsible for the sale of maintenance services for lift-truck, automation, and related material handling equipment to new accounts within an assigned territory. This role spends a very high percentage of time with clients, working to understand what the client needs from their material handling equipment to keep their warehouses, distribution centers and production lines operating at maximum capacity and efficiency. This role reports to the Sales Manager.
What you will do:Responds to leads from all sources (internet, manufacturer, internal) to scout out customers that would benefit from our services.
- Promote the company's product support capabilities by preparing, presenting, and selling preventative maintenance service agreements to prospective customers.
- Professional persistence in attaining meetings and developing relationships with new clients.
- Problem solving and solutions development for customer's maintenance service requirements.
- Creating value propositions and business cases for change that wins proposals and closes on servicebusiness.
- Developing long-term client relationships.
- Work with territory sales and operations personnel to increase sales skills and gain industry product knowledge.
- Provide clear communication to Sales Management through timely completion of call reports, quotes, and account profiles.
Competencies Skills and Abilities:- Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions on the repairs that need to be performed.
- Critical thinking, troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
- Ability to deal with difficult situations and maintain positive attitude.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task between service calls.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Basic understanding of electrical components and function.
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitude, and knowledge of electrical/electronic systems with ability to read and understand schematics.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record.
Education and Experience:- Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Bachelor's Degree - preferred with Marketing or sales related focus.
- Sales Experience Preferred but not required.
- Industry experience a plus.
