The VP, Business Development is a self-starter that is unafraid to roll up their sleeves, close deals with new partners, and help build and develop their own team of deal makers. The ideal candidate is a go-getter in terms of prospecting leads and business opportunities, and has the know how to build, deepen, and sustain relationships.
What you'll do: - Ensure team is building pipeline and hold team accountable for executing each phase of the sales process to achieve sales quotas.
- Recruit, develop and manage a high performing sales team.
- Create a culture of success, accountability, and goal achievement.
- Manage and oversee the sales budget for the Signature Sales teams.
- Monitor and track sales teams' quotas, and KPI progress
- Utilize referral sources to generate opportunities and close deals.
- Focus on the continued development and market penetration of our suite of solutions.
- Partner with the agent relations team in communicating with merchants and agents via telephone and/or email.
- Responsible for prospecting new business opportunities and lead generation to sign on new clients.
What we need from you: - Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years of proven business development experience selling services is required; an insurance, finance, or payments industry B2B (business to business) sales background is a strong plus.
- Experience in a sales leadership role in the payments industry
- Experience working with high-risk merchants
