The Role
As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for developing growth in the company through increased sales and customer acquisition. This role will prospect sales leads, contact potential clients, and nurture existing customer relationships. The role will be comfortable managing shipments from start to finish.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete sales activities (outbound phone calls/emailing prospects) and logging all activities in CRM.
- Curate strategies to obtain new business from existing and new accounts.
- Develop and maintain strategic multi-level customer relationships to uncover specific needs and behaviors of key decision makers.
- Close new accounts and upsell existing accounts.
- Problem-solve through any issues that occur before, during, or after transit.
- Negotiate rates and sell new prospects on working with RFX.
- Close major accounts and help encourage peers.
- Responsible for your performance of the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned by management.

Education & Experience
- 2+ years of related work or military experience
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Intermediate to high experience with Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

- 2 + years' experience in FTL freight brokerage
- Pricing/Negotiation Knowledge
- FTL Experience (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed)
- Ability to problem solve, think quickly and make educated business decisions.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Fluent Spanish language skills are a plus!
- Effective and pleasant phone presence and skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- The ability to multi-task with elite prioritization to not lose sight of the ultimate objective to succeed
