Business Development Manager - Process Automation The Woodlands, TX, United States | req15740
What you will enjoy doing* - You will be responsible to develop a growth strategy to increase the Linde Advanced Automation Services (LAOS) business in US, increase order intake pipeline and manage the relationship with existing and new clients
- Coordinate with LAOS US and global team members to develop the technical and commercial proposals for prospective clients
- In addition you will prepare initial assessment of the technical, financial, schedule or any other unusual risks associated with a proposal and present the business case to LAOS management with a clear understanding of probability, opportunity, risks and mitigation plan associated with the proposal
- Clearly define the scope of work and services offered to the customer and identify any clarifications or exceptions to the customer's inquiry
- Develop the project execution strategy for small projects (typically less than $1MM) by collaborating with LAOS US team and for mid-size to large (> $1MM) projects by collaborating with LAOS global team
- Responsible for coordinating with contracts management and/legal departments to develop contacts and maintain relationships with customers and understand customer needs and drivers
- You will also strive to find new leads, find potential customers in the region, lead marketing campaigns, pursue and follow up prospective clients on reasonable cadence
- Support preparation of an annual business development plan for LAOS product line(s) and services, as well as support preparation and management of the annual business development budget for LAOS-US
- Oversee and direct market research, competitor analyses, and customer service and retention monitoring processes and initiatives for LAOS products and services
- Finally you will work with LAOS global business development team to leverage the leads and collaborate on proposals and opportunities for the global clients
What makes you great - You will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In addition you will have five or more years of experience performing a business development and proposal development function in an engineering or software company in Process Automation area
- Knowledge of Process Automation, Advanced Process Control, IT/OT, new technology areas
- Additionally you will have a technical skills in strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research, and planning and promotions are required
- Fluent with Microsoft Office Applications, Teams, Salesforce, SharePoint
- Willing to travel 30 - 50%, mainly in US, may need to travel globally to support other regions
