DescriptionRegional Account Manager - Away From Home (AFH) DivisionThis is a remote field position based in a home office. We are flexible on your location throughout the East region (New England, New York Metro, Mid Atlantic preferred) within one hour of a major airport. Territory covered will be ME through VA, stretching west to OH and part of KY.
As a Regional Account Manager, you will design and implement programs to maximize sales to Vending/Micro-market operators, Food Service customers, and distributors in the Eastern US. You will develop and nurture business partnerships with strategic customers for the AFH business. You will deliver sales presentations to key customers, educate/evaluate sales goals and performance, and work to increase sales through all business partnerships. You will train and motivate distributor sales personnel, work with the distributors to gain accounts, and support them in everyday business activities. You will look for opportunity with new items, and ensure proper distribution is in place to support operator needs. You will coordinate with other Barcel teams on execution, and local distributors on selling opportunities.
Ideal candidate will have role progression within the Away from Home business segment specific to the vending and food service channels. Should be disciplined and accountable for self and team goals, is a business hunter and teammate. Has a passion for meeting and exceeding goals, creative selling, and maximizing P&L. Prior work experience with a start-up company is a plus.
What You'll Do:- You will call on accounts, distributors, and operators directly
- Achieve assigned case and dollar volume targets
- Focus on the Snack Category with Vending Operators, Hospitality Pantry, Micro- Markets, C&U and Food Service business
- Manage all assigned distributors
- Identify and target AFH accounts for new business
- Deliver annual business goals
- Use insights and market intelligence to identify market opportunities
- Sell in new item offerings to distributors and Vending operator /Food Service customers
- Conduct product training, educational sessions, and support business partnerships
- Up to 30% regional travel

QualificationsKnowledge/Education/Experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- 5+ years AFH sales experience in the food and beverage industry
- Demonstrated sales management experience with multiple product categories and customers
- Self-starter with the ability to make good business decisions
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of sales, trade and marketing concepts
- Experience developing and maintaining customer relationships
- Experience interpreting and using multiple information sources to develop selling strategy and tactics
- Demonstrated fiscal responsibility
