Summary:The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for providing service to the agency's clients on their personal insurance program, as well as assisting Producers in the servicing and marketing/remarketing of new accounts in accordance with Brown & Brown procedures and quality control standards. The placement and management of new and renewal business is expected to be conducted through prompt and courteous service, while maintaining a strong emphasis on retention and growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide direct customer support for personal lines clients
- Develop a full understanding of the regulations governing Personal Lines insurance in the state of Washington
- Review accounts handled for adequate coverage, identify opportunities to cross sell and round out coverage
- Issue appropriate documentation as needed including binders, auto insurance ID cards, etc.
- Compose or assist in composition of highly technical or sensitive correspondence
- Translate highly technical information for the client's understanding
- Complete applications and preparing proposals for new and renewal business proposals/offerings
- Contact clients and/or underwriters to obtain additional information or answer questions
- Resolve policy and coverage related concerns for clients, insurance carriers, and Producers
- Check policy coverage and endorsements for accuracy
- Courteously communicate negative actions to the client, while offering a solution to remedy the situation
- Bind or places coverage with acceptable carriers, adhering to appropriate carriers binding authority
- Keep well-informed of developments in the marketplace, including product line offerings, changing insurance consumer trends and needs, as well as remain current on company-specific insurance products and offerings
- Set up and maintain electronic file information in the Agency Management System including data entry and client & policy database maintenance
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of communication pertaining to client's insurance program
- Review accounts handled for adequate coverage, as well as educate, cross sell, and up sell coverage
- Recommend changes to insured for enhanced protection, ensuring Profit Center standards are met
- Process change requests and other coverage research issues
- Acknowledge receipt of FRQs within 5 days of receipt. Requests for coverage, quotes &/or additional exposures must be processed within 30 days and documented in system as to whether bound or denied.
- Assist with resolving Daily Download issues including Exceptions List
- Assume full responsibility for service and administration of client accounts
- Assist the Personal Lines Leader with training and development of Account Technicians
- Transact Agency Billed Policy in a timely fashion, adhering to Brown & Brown protocol
- Review Aged Receivables and follow up on the collection of premium payments and assist the accounting department in reconciliation of company and client accounts
- Assist the Personal Lines Leader with special projects as needed
- Follow established guidelines for workflow and system documentation
- Consistently meet all Brown & Brown established Quality Control practices and timelines
- Manage and maintain individual WA State Producer's License by attending appropriate CE classes
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:- Three or more years of agency Lines experience managing the service of multi-line personal lines book of business
- Ability to develop and maintain positive client and carrier relationships
- Working knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook
- Current WA State Insurance License
- Experience with Agency Management Software Systems (Preferred)
- Professional Designations preferred (ACSR, CIC, CPCU, CISR)
- Working knowledge of Carrier websites preferred
- This position may require routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. If appropriate, acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages will be a requirement of this position.
COMPENSATION:- $23-$30 an hour based on experience + commissions
