Director, Business Development
Veda is seeking a motivated Director, Business Development to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to the VP, Sales & Partnerships, you will be a key player in expanding our business and selling the Veda platform into new enterprise health system accounts.
Our ideal candidate is highly motivated and deeply connected to the mission of improving access to healthcare for all. This individual will execute complex healthcare technology deals with executive stakeholders, managing the sales process end-to-end and developing long-term relationships with key senior leaders. Internally, you will partner with Veda’s sales leaders and advisory team to develop the sales strategy for the provider market, and execution to effectively provide solutions to these clients. Your partnership with our Product, Marketing, and Customer teams will be critical to effectively scaling and ensuring the successful growth of our business.
Responsibilities will Include:
- Drive new market expansion for Veda, scale, identify, and generate high value opportunities into large health systems
- Engage key stakeholders, and evangelize Veda’s value proposition to health systems, ultimately leading to signed contracts
- Drive top-line growth, and amplify Veda in the marketplace as the business continues to scale nationally
- Influence the evolving sales process and strategy at Veda, while executing on a complex sales process
- Collaborate graciously and mentor our growing team to support the company’s commitment to coaching and collaboration
About You:
- You have significant experience in B2B healthcare sales with at least 5 years dedicated to selling into large health systems
- You have a commitment to excellence in everything you do and use teamwork as an integral component of achieving a high level of success
- You are quick to adapt and motivated by the demands of a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- You have developed a reliable toolkit and rely on fundamental best practices for breaking new markets; You have a track record of success leveraging a consultative sales approach and know how to identify and engage key influencers and stakeholders
- You are analytical, with a keen eye for spotting patterns, problems, and anomalies across large sets of data and able to artfully align technology solutions to key business needs
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years in B2B sales and marketing, lead generation, prospecting, or business development
- Experience building a sales process into new market(s) strongly preferred
- Thorough understanding of the overall healthcare industry with specific expertise in the enterprise health system market
- Ability to think critically and apply data-driven influence to decision making
- Experience managing complex sales cycles that represent a multi-year engagement
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience preferred
