Lending at Valon
Valon is scaling up its mortgage lending business, which aims to provide Valon homeowners the ability to access low-cost, streamlined mortgage loans and give Valon partners tools they need to retain customers. As a member of the Lending Department, you will make it faster, easier, and cheaper for homeowners to get loans by reinventing the homeowner’s journey. We are looking for experienced and innovative individuals who are eager to transform the mortgage industry for the better by building our team and business.
About this Role
The Mortgage Sales Assistant will make routine follow-up calls to prospective Lending customers, take inbound calls from prospective Lending customers, and assist Lending Sales Managers with general Sales management administration. This individual will be responsible for providing best-in-class customer service to support Valon’s strategic goals. The primary objective of this role will be to support our Mortgage Loan Officers in recapturing future purchase and refinance loans for customers with mortgages within Valon’s servicing portfolio, strengthening customer and investor relationships.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine follow-up outreach to prospective Lending customers and transfer warm leads to licensed MLOs. This includes providing general explanations, information, and descriptions in response to customer inquiries.
- Answer inbound calls from Lending customers and transfer warm leads to licensed MLOs
- Assist Lending Sales Management with general Sales administration
Ideal Background
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong communicator with excellent writing abilities
- High integrity with strong ethical values
- General understanding and familiarity with Mortgage Industry
- Team player with ability to work effectively with cross-team members
- Eager to join a highly dynamic team and play a role in a high-growth, transformative project
Nice To Have
- Experience with industry technology (e.g. DU, LP, Encompass, CRM)
- Experience in a customer-facing customer service environment, ideally in the mortgage industry
