Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary of $53,200.00 - $79,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for providing pre- and post-sales support to maximize new and existing client revenue for our inbound, national and transactional clients. This position actively sells AJC print and digital products. Works independently to manage day to day interaction with clients and media delivery team and works with marketing on research needs.
What You’ll Do:
Provides sales support for transactional clients
Works to evaluate company’s product and service offerings against customer needs, budget and competitors’ offerings to create proposals and recommend suitable solutions. These solutions include print, digital and event related sponsorships.
Handle inbound calls and emails from prospects and customers. Probe for opportunities and follow through on requests.
A high degree of follow-through and communication with customers
Utilizes internal software programs to develop customized proposals to meet client needs
Utilizes sales automation systems to manage day-to-day activities and update management on sales performance though system generated reports
Collaborate with team members to handle client workload, (Affinity Tools, Salesforce.com) and new account setup
Work closely with Order Services team to ensure accurate and timely ordering of all ads
Serve as frontline support for customers (accept/return calls, collect ad content/placement instructions, communicating ad specs and due dates)
Prepare reporting as needed (ex. investment history, schedules, etc.)
Review ad presentations, insertion orders and other documents for accuracy and correctness
Manage reservations for special sections and premium positions
Facilitate post-sale activities to ensure deadlines and business rules based on department are met
Manage the art/copy process for in-house designed ads, handle all proofing, changes and corrections
Work closely with Order Services team to ensure billing, credit and production issues are communicated and resolved quickly
Design campaign recap and proof of benefit presentations.
Provide tear sheets as needed

Prior experience in media sales/sales support
Proven solutions-focused customer service skills
Experience with Customer-Relationship Management software like Salesforce
